Our Story

The story of Baked Sweet Coffeehouse & Bakery started a long time before October 2020 when we first opened our doors. As a stay at home mom to three little ones, I started testing recipes and learning new techniques as I made birthday cakes for my children each year, and it wasn't long until friends and family members started asking me to bake for them too! My creations always looked amazing (and they tasted amazing too!) but the dream of owning a coffee shop seemed like just a dream so I continued to bake and learn and taste, all while raising a family.

Turning dreams into reality with an old country store built in 1906...


When an old building in town came up for sale, my husband, Willie, and I knew it would be perfect for a coffee shop. The building was originally a country store and we could see unlimited opportunities for a coffee and bake shop that would bring community together which has always been one of our passions.


After many hours of hard work renovating a building originally built in 1906, we opened our doors on October 20, 2020. The goal at Baked Sweet is to have a safe place for the community to gather and visit while enjoying made from scratch sweets and our locally roasted, house blend coffee!

MEET THE OWNER

Hey there! I'm Rosanne Weiler and this is my husband, Willie. I'm a self-taught baker and sugar artist. I love creating custom baked sweets and treats for all the special celebrations in life... or maybe just because you are craving some delicious cupcakes (no judgement here!)


Baking and using sugar as the canvas for creativity is my passion! My love of baking started when I was a little girl who found enjoyment making cookies but it wasn't until years later when my real love for creating sweet confections for my family and others was born. I was intrigued with fondant and gave it a try with some of my children's birthday cakes and soon friends and family began ordering cakes for their special occasions as well!


Baked Sweet was born from my home kitchen and although we've expanded to the coffee and bake shop, many of my original family recipes are still a part of the menu. Will has been a huge supporter of my baking since the beginning, and he is very much the one behind the business part of things, with many years of his own business experience. You could say that Baked Sweet has been a family effort, and it still is today as we continue our building renovations. We hope you'll stop by and enjoy something sweet next time you're in town!
